Exeter War Memorial, also known as The Northernhay War Memorial is a war memorial in Northernhay Gardens in the city of Exeter, Devon. Designed by John Angel, it was erected by public subscription in 1923. This is Marks original oil painting of the memorial.

Mark Loman

Mark Loman is a local artist from Exmouth. He specializes in direct painting from life (alla prima, or plein air) and enjoys working in all the genres.

Mark is self-taught, working through books, videos and a home study art academy course (from international artist magazine) and continues to build up his knowledge and skills.

He has been working in oils for over fifteen years and regularly exhibits with the Exmouth art group where he has met with great success, receiving the Norah Pearse prize award on two occasions.

He successfully exhibited over 30 original paintings and limited edition prints in a pop up gallery show in Exmouth town centre and has also exhibited with the Southwest Academy of Fine & Applied Arts.
